One of the main features of the city of Cassino is its wonderful and flourishing nature. Some of these natural attractions are the stunning springs of the river Gari that flow in the city center, the thriving natural park, green heart of the city, and the lush nature trails that twist and turn on the Mount overlooking the city and in the surrounding area.

Montecassino natural monument

The territory is well known for its naturalistic importance, which is also a strong touristic attraction, like the Montecassino Natural Monument. Since 2010, it has been managed by the Aurunci Mountains Natural Park.

The Varronian Baths

Located close to the railway station, in an area called “Monticelli”, the Varronian Baths plunged in rich and charming vegetation. The thermal bath complex takes its name from the famous and erudite writer, Marcus Terentius Varro, who lived in the first century BC.

Parco Lord Baden Powell

The newly built Baden Powell Park is the second public park in Cassino. Situated in the center, it is located in the area of the former Campo Boario, where the cattle market once took place. There are a children’s play area and some little houses that host the associations that operate in the city.
