Cassino is a vibrant city all year long, with many seasonal events for every taste and every need; from history to food and wine, from fun for children to music, from sports to theater, and from culture to antiques. Many events, in one city.

On the occasion of the solemn celebrations for the spring feast of Saint Benedict, the traditional ritual of homage to the Abbot of Montecassino takes place in the evocative background of the Abbey and along the city streets. The spectacular scenery, with costumes, characters, and medieval setting, let us revive moments and scenes of the thirteenth century. The celebrations start with the arrival of the “Fiaccola Benedettina” (Benedictine torch) and attract visitors from all over Italy. 

Pride of the city of Cassino, the Manzoni Theater offers a wide range of cultural performances and events from dance, music, dramas, or comic plays, and also charity. The undisputed queen is the Opera Season, with guests of international inspiration.

Hosted in Piazza Labriola, in the heart of the city, the Christmas Village has been created with more than 20 little wooden houses in Austrian style, decorated with lights, colorful ornaments, presents, sweets, and handmade toys. The experience is also walking on the typical red carpets while tasting the traditional culinary specialties, with lots of live music and shows for the little ones.

In the opening evening, on the 8th of December, the city center turns into a wonderful meeting place in a special Christmas atmosphere where thousands of people choose to spend happy moments with their families.

Theater, music, dancing, stand-up comedy, and cinema merge in the magical summer setting of the Roman Theater, transformed into the neuralgic center of the city, where international artists meet and involve the spectators.

An impressive and unique exhibition in its genre in the area, “Cassino Multietnica” was born with the idea of a cultural container which developed into a multidimensional artistic meeting “to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye and the heart” (- Gianluca Terenzi).   

The multiethnic contamination that every year meets up on the vital stage of this eclectic event, reminds us about the wideness of a cross-cultural world as an outstanding treasure for our common living.
